Incremental Traffic

An incremental logistics game where traffic becomes a challenge. Haul goods from fields, forests and quarries through a procedurally generated town, earn money with every delivery and buy more trucks, until your own fleet jams the streets. Then fix it with traffic rules.

About this game

Developer description

A traffic game turned inside out Incremental Traffic takes the familiar parts of transport and logistics games and flips them around. If you've played the genre, here's what's different. Make the roads you have work. The streets are fixed. Your tools are the rules of the road: who yields, who stops, when the light turns green, how many lanes a street has, where a roundabout goes. Only your trucks. No commuters, no rush hour, no random cars. Every vehicle is one of your trucks on a route you picked. So nothing is unfair: if it jams it was you. You can find out why, and you can fix it. Delivery is the key challenge, not production. The production chains are short and readable on purpose: shapes pressed and assembled into new shapes. The hard part is getting them there. A factory with eight loading bays is useless if the street in front of it is a parking lot. Growth adds challenge. Every upgrade speeds up your factories, so you need more trucks, so the streets get busier. Your success is literally what jams the town.…

“A great incremental game that really puts me in a factorio headspace. I often found myself ignoring the progression goal in order to maximize my productivity in my existing production. The phrasing of certain descriptions needs improvement and the tutorial needs work. This is probably just personal preference but t…”

“A tutorial or some amount of basic instruction/plot is lacking from the game, but once you can get over the learning curve and figure out what it is you're doing, the game has some decent potential at being a game someone could easily sink hours into. The slow rollout of tasks and concepts helps to prevent the user…”

“I just started the game but nice concept, simple yet still intresting. no bug found so far. Very good ! One point maybe, I'm at region 5 and still not needed to use any traffic modification, as another comments said, it can be intresting to ask for a higher input of ressources earlier to force "traffic jam"”
